Sano 300R-C tube amp circa 1964/65
15" speaker
Speaker output has an 8ohm load. This is about a 30 watt amp with lots of headroom. You can even play bass through it.
This is the 'C' version called the Compact where they put the 8" speakers on the side of the cabinet to keep it smaller than the larger version. Really cool unique sounding amp. It has some of the vibe of a Supro Thunderbolt/Bassman but the 8" speakers give it some nice mids and trebel.
The tremelo is similar to the old valco / fender tweed amps really 'whumpy' one of the best Ive ever heard. The reverb is a small tank mounted on the back panel that has a Link Wray style sound.
Sano was a USA company that made all kinds of amps in the late 50's to early 70's.
They were located down the block from Ampeg back in the day. Some say this amp has a Reverberocket vibe to it.
