The Brothers Deiro And Their Accordions
The Brothers Deiro
The two Italian-American brothers, Guido (1886-1950) and Pietro (1888-1954) Deiro (pronounced "Day-ce-ro") were undoubtedly the two most important piano-accordionists in America during the first decades of the twentieth century. They practically single-handedly introduced and popularized the instrument to millions of people throughout North America and abroad by their vaudeville performances, recordings and published music.
