Are you passionate about the accordion, concertina, bandoneon, or other free reed instrument? We are looking to fill the following position: Job Description: Junior Accordion Technician and Sales Associate will perform the following duties: - Repair and service accordions - Perform day to day inventory management and sales at the store - List items for sale online Minimum Requirements: - Musical ability demonstrated in diatonic accordion, concertina/bandoneon, chromatic button, or piano accordion - Technical experience working on own accordion or in some capacity at a repair shop or musical instrument store - Retail sales experience, customer service, computer experience, basic office skills - Demonstrates good fine motor skills and steady hands - A minimum of 2 years full time training will be expected. If you are not able to make a 2 year commitment, please do not apply. Strongly Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree (alternatively 2 year college degree or technical school will be considered if relevant) - Ability to teach, perform, sight read music - Familiarity with the Philadelphia music community - Attention to detail with an empasis on repetition. - Demonstrates a passion to achieve perfection Additional Preferences: - Woodworking, electrical, or MIDI training - Ebay, inventory, point of sale experience - People person, experience in customer service and retail phone calls - Creative and works independently - Proficient in other languages, especially Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish - Dedication and dependability - Good ear, perfect pitch - Works well with others, team player - Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm - Good at arithmetic and decision making - Computer and web skills Application Process: - Please send a current resume to web@libertybellows.com with email subject "Resume Attached - <Last Name>, <First Name>" - In the email, please state why this job would be a good fit for you and also send a link to a YouTube video where you are featured playing a free reed instrument either solo or in a group. - Incomplete applications will NOT be considered! - Starting in March, we will review all completed applications and contact you for a phone interview and then the final interview will be conducted in the store. - The new hire should expect to start in May, June, or July. - We will try our best to review all completed applications, but we regret if we are unable to respond to all applicants. |
